Class A CDL-Part-time Livestock Transport Specialist

Are you an experienced Class A CDL driver looking for a local route that allows you to be home every night? Here at Hord Farms, we are currently seeking a Class A CDL Driver with a minimum of 3 years CDL driving experience, a clean driving record, and preferably, some experience loading/unloading, and hauling pigs of various ages and sizes.

Who We Are:

The HORD team, nationally known for our world class pig production, is currently looking for a Class A CDL driver with at least 3 years of CDL driving experience to add to our livestock transportation team. Headquartered in Bucyrus, OH, this essential position offers training on livestock movement, a supportive team-focused atmosphere, and the opportunity to be home every night.

A Day in the Life:

Our livestock transport specialists generally work M-F, ensuring you have evenings and weekends for family time (some flexibility is required based on load schedules and optimal temperatures for transport of animals). Primary responsibilities include:

• Transporting pigs of various ages and sizes
• Assisting with loading and unloading of animals
• Ensuring trailers are properly bedded to provide a safe and healthy environment for the animals being moved
• Washing trailers to maintain our high standards for cleanliness and herd safety

What You Need:

• Candidates must not currently own or have routine contact with non-Hord pigs
• Ability to lift 55 lbs., climb, bend, sit, and power wash for extended periods of time-this role is best for energetic drivers who enjoy varied movement and rest periods and interacting with animals
• Time management skills to ensure loads move on schedule
• A high level of respect for team members and animals
• Impeccable record of reliability/dependability
• Willingness to learn and carry out complex instructions effectively
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, and email functions
• Class A CDL required and clean driving record a must
• Minimum 3 years CDL driving experience
