PAY AND SCHEDULE:
- Competitive Wages range from $35.00 to $35.50/HR to start.
- This position follows a fourday, 4x10 schedule, working either Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday-Saturday or Tuesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday, with start times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive a tractor-trailer with a dedicated local route. Manual transmission is utilized in tractor/trailer equipment.
- Possibility for training on Roll Off.
- Perform routinevehicle inspections and maintenance, includingchecking fluids,safety equipment, and tires.
- Ability to perform a physically demanding job, lifting to 50lbs regularly
- Courteousinteraction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Climbing in and out of the cab up to 40+ times/day.
- The work environment involves exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which requires following basicsafety precautions.
- The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and humid conditions, fumes, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
- Will be working in all weather conditions
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- ValidClass A CDL
- High SchoolDiplomaor GED
- Ability to learn and use interpersonal skills relating to qualitycustomer service
- As verified by a current MVR/driver abstract, all qualifications as defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51 must be met.
- We require at least three years of Class Acommercial drivingexperience, preferably with expertise operating 53' trailers.
- Clean safety and driving record
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to deal with the physicality of the job with no issues.
- Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.
- Safety Sensitive:YES
