Job Opportunity: Class A CDL Driver Needed – City of Fontana

Pay: $28.00 per hour Straight Time
Work Schedule: Thursday through Monday, or Friday through Tuesday Start Time: Between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Expected Hours: 40–50 per week
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Fontana, CA (In-person work required)

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated, dependable, and professional Class A Local Delivery Drivers to join our team in Fontana, CA. The successful candidate will efficiently deliver food products to grocery stores while providing exceptional customer service and adhering to all safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Current K4 certification (issued within the last 30 days)
• Valid, non-expired medical certification
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience within the past 2 years
• Minimum age: 23 years
• Ability to lift up to 50- 100lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, climbing into trucks, and walking as required
• A Plus but not required -TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) – reimbursement available for drivers who obtain TWIC cards to advance their career

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food products to designated grocery stores efficiently and on schedule
• Use pallet jacks to move pallets to the truck’s rear (no loading/unloading required)
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety regulations
• Foster positive customer relationships through timely and professional service
• Operate trucks and trailers safely, following established protocols
• Promptly report any vehicle issues to the maintenance department
