We need a dependable, hands-on driver to step in and run local bakery shuttle loops and yard switching right here in Phoenix. This is not a job where you just sit and stare at the highway all day. It is an active, fast-paced role that keeps you on the move, gets you home daily, and pays you for every hour you work.
Because the bakery's entire production schedule depends on these trailers moving on time, we need someone who can jump in and handle this run solo from day one.
Pay Highloghts
Hourly Wage: Start at a flat $21.50 per hour.
Unload Bonus: Earn an extra $45.00 flat rate for every single stop you complete.
Weekly Average: Drivers on this run bring home a stable gross average of $1,300 every week.
Corporate Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a matching 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off. All benefits kick in after your first 60 days on the job. You also have access to 24/7 dispatcher help.
The Route & Your Daily Duties
Daily Home Time: 100% Home Daily. You clock out and go home to your own bed after every single shift.
The Shuttle Run: You will haul short-distance shuttles between the bakery plant and the distribution warehouse, which are only about 7 miles apart.
Yard Switching: You will move and swap trailers around at both facilities. You are responsible for making sure all trailers are locked down and sealed properly before moving them.
Back-up Store Deliveries: If warehouse shuttles slow down, you will occasionally make local store deliveries to keep your hours up.
Physical Work: This job requires physical labor. You will handle live loads and unloads by rolling bread trays and delivery carts down a trailer liftgate.
Shift Details & Schedule
The Hours: This is a dedicated Night Shift position. You need to be comfortable driving in the dark and backing up in tight, busy warehouse yards.
The Schedule: Weekend work is standard. When you first start, your two days off might be split up, but as you build seniority on the account, you can bid on consecutive days off. If you want extra cash, extra shifts are easy to grab.
Holidays: You are guaranteed to have Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day off. Other holidays will be worked based on your normal schedule rotation.
Parking: Safe, secure parking is provided on-site for both your personal vehicle and your rig.
Who Qualifies
Where You Live: You must live within 50 miles of the Phoenix terminal (Zip Code: 85043).

At least 12 months of OTR within the last 5 years.
Note: Any local Class A tractor-trailer driving or yard hostling experience counts directly toward this requirement.
