Class A Welder (ASME Welder)

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Class A Welder (ASME Welder) to join our team in Broken Arrow, OK. This position is responsible for assembling and welding custom bladder tanks, strainers, and valve products using MIG, Flux Core, and Sub Arc welding processes while meeting ASME code requirements and company quality standards.

The ideal Class A Welder has strong blueprint reading skills, produces high-quality watertight welds, and takes pride in precision craftsmanship.
Weld Test Requirement
3G Downhill MIG Stringer with Uphill Flux Core Fill and Cap
Visual Inspection and Bend Test Required
Required Experience & Skills
Previous ASME welding experience preferred
Proficiency with MIG, Flux Core, and Sub Arc welding processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and fabrication sketches
Experience fitting and welding custom components to precise tolerances
Strong understanding of measuring tools including tapes, squares, levels, and calipers
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble and weld custom bladder tanks, strainers, and valve products to ASME standards
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
Fit, tack, and weld components while maintaining dimensional accuracy
Measure and verify parts using precision measuring tools
Perform visual inspections and quality checks before final QA review
Operate grinders, torches, saws, and material handling equipment safely
Perform basic equipment setup and minor maintenance as needed
Complete production documentation, time tracking, and material records accurately
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and lean manufacturing principles
Assist with training junior welders and support continuous improvement initiatives
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Experience fabricating pressure vessels or custom ASME products
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Previous experience mentoring or training welders
Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication background
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform welding tasks throughout the shift
Comfortable working around welding equipment, heat, and industrial machinery
Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods
Work Environment
Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment
Exposure to welding fumes, heat, sparks, noise, and heavy materials
Fast-paced production setting focused on quality and safety
PPE required at all times while on the production floor
