Class A Yard Dog Operator / Production Support
Schedule: 6:00 AM – Finish
Pay: $20-25 /hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Class A Yard Dog Operator to move trailers safely and efficiently throughout the property. Operating the yard truck is the primary responsibility; however, when trailer moves are caught up, this position will assist with general warehouse and production activities.
This is a hands-on position for someone who wants a Class A driving role but is also comfortable working outside the truck and helping wherever needed.
Responsibilities

• Operate a yard truck/yard dog to move and position trailers throughout the company property
• Safely back trailers into designated areas, docks, and staging locations
• Perform trailer moves as directed by the operations team
• Conduct basic safety checks of the yard truck and trailers
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area
• Assist with general production and warehouse duties when not needed for trailer moves
• Load, unload, move, or stage materials as needed
• Lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines
• Perform other general labor, warehouse, or production duties as assigned

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Clean driving record required
• Previous yard dog, hostler, shuttle driver, or trailer-moving experience needed
• Comfortable backing and maneuvering trailers in a busy industrial environment
• Able to safely operate a yard truck and work around trailers, equipment, and production operations
• Able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment, including extended periods outdoors
• Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team
• Must be willing to assist with production and warehouse work when not operating the yard truck

Important Information
Yard Dog operation is the primary function of this position. However, this is not a driving-only job. When trailer moves are not needed, the employee will be expected to assist with warehouse and production duties. Candidates should be comfortable spending part of the workday outside of the truck performing physical, hands-on work.
