Class B CDL Driver -local yard waste company

Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class B commercial vehicle to collect and transport yard waste and organic materials on local routes
• Safely load and unload yard waste, brush, leaves, and other organic debris
•   Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
•  Follow assigned collection routes efficiently and on schedule
•   Maintain a clean, organized, and properly functioning vehicle at all times
•    Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding route progress or issues
•  Adherent to all local traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies
• Ability to handle physical workload must be able to lift 50 pounds all day. 
• Ability to read a map and navigate without a cell phone.

Requirements:

•  Valid Class B CDL license required
•  Qualifications- 1-2 years of Commercial Driving experience is a must
•  Clean driving record with a satisfactory MVR
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles preferred
•  Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions        Familiarity with DOT compliance and pre/post-trip inspection procedures
•  Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
•  There will be instances when you work with a helper and sometimes you have to work alone, driving and collecting at same time depending on size of route.         
• Ability to use computerized software on tablet for collection reporting is a Must.
