Position Summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking Ready Mix Concrete Professional Drivers responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of concrete to customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. This position requires skill as both a commercial vehicle driver and an equipment operator during loading and discharging operations.

What You'll Do

• Operate an 80,000 lb. ready mix truck to transport concrete safely and efficiently to and from job sites
• Load, unload, and secure materials as needed, ensuring proper handling and balance of loads
• Wash down the truck and clean off excess concrete after each delivery, requiring climbing on the truck multiple times per day
• Perform visual inspections on the vehicle and equipment, documenting conditions and deficiencies as required
• Prepare, receive, and maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) laws, regulations, and company safety policies
• Perform general yard duties such as sweeping or shoveling when weather conditions limit deliveries
• Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the assigned vehicle
• Attend required safety meetings and training sessions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of two years of ready mix driving experience
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Clean driving and criminal record
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to climb and crawl on equipment as needed
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain and work in extreme weather conditions
• Strong punctuality, attendance, and teamwork skills
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Self-motivated and capable of following directions with minimal supervision
• Commitment to safety and compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
