Class B Fuel Transport Driver
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class B Fuel Transport Driver to transport and deliver petroleum products to commercial, agricultural, and retail customers. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safely transport and deliver fuel products to customer locations in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
Load, unload, and transfer petroleum products using approved procedures and equipment.
Accurately complete delivery tickets, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns.
Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
Ensure proper handling and securement of hazardous materials.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and regulatory compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Current Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements or X endorsement.
Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and hazardous materials transportation requirements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous fuel, petroleum, or liquid bulk transportation experience.
Experience operating tanker trucks and fuel delivery equipment.
Basic mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders, access tanker compartments, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to sit, drive, and operate commercial vehicles for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and perform routine vehicle inspections.
Work Schedule
Full-time position.
Overtime, weekends, evenings, and on-call hours may be required based on operational needs.
