Class Instructor

General Description:  The class instructor will design, plan, and deliver engaging educational, social, and/or fitness classes to our Lourie Center members.  The instructor will ensure that classes are suitable for various skill levels, promote social interaction, and enhance the physical and mental well-being of participants.    

 

This is an independent contract position. Class sessions are available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm. Class sessions are available in 1-hour increments based on schedule availability. Reports to The Lourie Center Programs Coordinator.

 

 

Customer service experience required, with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.  Experience working with senior population, preferably in a teaching or instructional capacity.  Ability to create and adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse participants. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to senior activities. Must be dependable and courteous in a fast-paced environment. Content certification may be required based on class.
