We are seeking a dynamic self-starter with a love of classical music to join us as our Classical IPR Fellow. In this position, you will learn how to prepare and host live radio broadcasts, research and produce original audio content for our flagship programs and podcasts, digitize and catalog classical music recordings in our library, and create original digital content for our website and social media channels. This opportunity includes annual compensation of $30,000, housing in IPR's Alldredge Cabin on the Interlochen Center for the Arts campus (including a private furnished bedroom and bathroom with shared kitchen and laundry facilities), as well as meals from Interlochen's on-campus cafeteria. The employment term is one year from the start date. The position may be renewed for a second year, contingent on funding.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Host live and pre-recorded radio broadcasts
  • Serve as a research and a production assistant for Classical IPR's radio programs and podcasts
  • Digitize and catalog music recordings from CDs, LPs and other physical media in Classical IPR's music library
  • Edit and catalog commercial and archival recordings using Music Master
  • Collect and create original digital content for Classical IPR's website and social media channels
  • Participate in in-person community engagement events around the region
  • Seeks the best use of materials, equipment and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Complies with ICA policies/procedures and acts as a good steward of ICA finances.
  • Respects the culture, diversity and rights of all students, their families and the community.
  • Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Start date: September 14, 2026
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree (completed or in progress) in music theory, music librarianship, or musicology strongly preferred
  • Ability to conduct research quickly and with integrity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with digital audio workstations such as Adobe Audition preferred but not required
  • Experience with music database and/or cataloging programs preferred but not required
  • Experience Google suite preferred but not required
  • Driver's license
