TITLE: Paraprofessional II-ESS FTE: 0.875
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt HOURS PER DAY: 7
WORK CALENDAR: 195 days
COMPENSATION: Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $18.35/hour)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications for this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required
Education / Certificate
Associate of Arts degree or paraprofessional certification required
Must obtain and maintain CPR and first aid certification within 45 days of hire
Must sign an AHCSS Provider Participation Agreement and obtain a provider number as required
Must complete Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and specialized training for developmentally disabled students
Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience
Prior experience working with special education students desired
Must be 21 years of age or older upon hire
Communication Skills
Must possess a positive attitude toward students, teachers, staff and parents/guardians
Must possess the ability to take and follow directions
