The district is one of the oldest districts in the county, having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years, Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. Job Summary
Under the direction of the site administrator and supervision of a certificated special education teacher, the Special Education Aide provides instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students with disabilities in a classroom or assigned setting. The aide assists in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), supports student learning and engagement, and helps maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive environment. Duties may include assisting with academic tasks, behavior support, supervision, and personal care needs as appropriate. This position is a 6-hour per day assignment.
