Description: This position is a .4 Lead Teacher and .6 College and Career Pathways Coordinator. Interested candidates should have strong organizational skills, a passion for creating and supporting post-secondary opportunities for high school students, and experience with curriculum and pathway development. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience related to student services and behavior.
Responsibilities may include:
Pathway Development: Expand and oversee the high schools Career Clusters and specialized pathway programs
Work-Based Learning: Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate student internships, job-shadowing experiences, apprenticeships, and college/career fairs.
Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses and higher education institutions
Support the implementation and expansion of ECE and AP offerings at EHS
Performing lead teacher related duties as assigned by the principal including but not limited to the following:
504 Administrator designee
Discipline Referrals
8th Grade Transition to EHS
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a valid grade appropriate Connecticut teaching certificate.
A Connecticut 092 Intermediate Administration certification is preferred, as is an 104 endorsement.
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Demonstrated teacher leadership capabilities
