POSITION: Elementary Art Teacher

SCHOOL: Middle Gate and Hawley

START DATE: August 2026

QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut Certification 042, Pre K-12

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Instructional Visual Art Program for elementary children

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work enthusiastically and effectively with primary grade students in two elementary schools

Highly motivated with superior instructional skills

Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in elementary art education

Ability to create an environment of high interest

A commitment to continuous improvement and high expectations

Strong classroom management skills

Ability to work with classroom teachers in developing integrated curriculum and to develop a model art program

Strong technology skills and ability to incorporate into the art program

Strong personal artistic experiences

REMUNERATION: Appropriate salary step per Teacher's Contract
