New Milford Public Schools is looking for an Excellent Bi-Lingual Teacher

Title: Bilingual Teacher

Reports to: Building Principal

Job Summary

To ensure high quality instruction linked to the Common Core State Standards and District strategic goals. To provide a rigorous academic environment that actively engages students; incorporates best educational practices; creates an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and addresses the needs of all learners and supports the social/emotional development of the students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Holds a minimum of a bachelors degree from an accredited university
• Meets all current licensing requirements including endorsement(s) in the appropriate teaching areas,
• Must demonstrate verbal and written proficiency in the specified non-English language area Must be familiar with the CELP standards and how to align them with the Common Core State Standards
• Preference will be given to individuals who are trained in the execution of other appropriate assessment measures for non-English speaking students, LAS Link

COMPENSATION & WAGE RANGE DISCLOSURE:

Salary placement for this position is determined by education level (BA, MA, 6th Year, Doctorate) and verifiable prior teaching experience in accordance with the Salary Schedule set forth in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the New Milford Board of Education and the CEA - New Milford.
