Business Education Teacher - Insurance and Business Pathway

Weaver High School | Hartford, Connecticut | Full-Time | CT Certification 010 Required

Hartford Public Schools is seeking a passionate Business Education Teacher to join Weaver High Schools Insurance and Business Pathway. In this role, you will deliver engaging, industry-connected instruction in areas such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, business communications, and insurance fundamentals - preparing Hartford students for meaningful careers and continued learning.

What Were Looking For:

• Valid Connecticut Teaching Certificate - Endorsement 010 (Business Education), or eligibility
• Bachelors degree in Business Education or a related field
• Knowledge of business, finance, or insurance industries
• Prior CTE or business education teaching experience preferred

Education & Certification Requirements

Candidates must have a conferred bachelor's from an accredited institution and must also possess and maintain the certification and/or licensure requirements for this position as established by the Connecticut state statutes.

Salary

Pay will be commensurate with experience, educational level, and in accordance with the Hartford Federation of Teachers' (HFT) Collective Bargaining Agreement salary schedule.
