Classroom Teacher - Child Care Center

Job Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable Classroom Teacher to support the daily learning and development of young children in a safe, nurturing environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, follows classroom routines, and works well as part of a team. This position focuses on hands-on care, supervision, and age-appropriate activities under the guidance of center leadership.


Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
• Assist with daily classroom routines, including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
• Implement age-appropriate activities that support learning, social skills, and emotional development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and staff
• Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines
• Observe and report children’s behaviors, needs, and milestones to the lead teacher or director
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience working with children preferred (child care, babysitting, camps, schools, etc.)
• Ability to follow routines and classroom schedules
• Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active play
• Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements
