NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION: Special Education Preschool Teacher

LOCATION: Integrated Preschool Program at Hatton Elementary School

SALARY: BA, Step 3 ~ $53,150 - 6th Year +30, maximum ~ $111,528

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The special education teachers in the Integrated Preschool Program at Hatton Elementary School and Strong Elementary School design and implement lessons that are aligned to the Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS). Along with providing age level preschool activities, the preschool special education teachers also implement specially designed instruction to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in order for students with special needs to be able to master their IEP goals and objectives that are aligned to the ELDS. Data collection utilizing the CTDOTS and other benchmark and progress monitoring tools are used by the preschool special education teacher.

CT Certification Required

112 Integrated Early Childhood/Special Ed., Birth - Kindergarten

113 Integrated Early Childhood/Elementary Education N-3 and Special Education N-K

165 Comprehensive Special Education, PK-12 and 013 or 305 Elementary PK-6
