POSITION SUMMARY:
CREC seeks talented Elementary teacher for a teaching position at Academy of Aerospace & Engineering Elementary School. Elementary teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, and student learning.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Uses technology in the service of learning and completing professional responsibilities (e.g., various learning platforms, gradebook, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office).
Teaching/Subject Assignment Specific:
- Ability to teach foundational math concepts (e.g., number sense, operations, fractions, problem-solving) using hands-on activities and real-world applications.
- Strong knowledge of literacy development, including phonics, fluency, comprehension, and writing instruction.
- Familiarity with recent research in reading and writing acquisition and ability to transfer knowledge to lesson planning.
- Skill in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and build academic confidence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Elementary, 1-6 (305 or 005)
- Elementary, K-6 (013)
