    POSITION SUMMARY:

    CREC seeks talented Elementary teacher for a teaching position at Academy of Aerospace & Engineering Elementary School.     Elementary teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
    • Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, and student learning.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Instructional Competencies:

    • Personalize learning experiences through assessments, supports, progressions, relationships, and technology.
    • Develop student agency, ownership, self-advocacy, and effective communication skills with regard to learning.
    • Uses technology in the service of learning and completing professional responsibilities (e.g., various learning platforms, gradebook, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office).

    Teaching/Subject Assignment Specific:

    • Ability to teach foundational math concepts (e.g., number sense, operations, fractions, problem-solving) using hands-on activities and real-world applications.
    • Strong knowledge of literacy development, including phonics, fluency, comprehension, and writing instruction.
    • Familiarity with recent research in reading and writing acquisition and ability to transfer knowledge to lesson planning.
    • Skill in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and build academic confidence.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
    • Elementary, 1-6 (305 or 005)
    • Elementary, K-6 (013)
