Job Description:
Quaker Farms School is seeking a skilled and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering student growth within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities: (list not all inclusive)
- Create a structured and engaging classroom environment that encourages student learning and development.
- Deliver instruction in literature, writing, and language arts that aligns with curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student achievement and school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Complete all required administrative duties, including grading and reporting on student performance.
- Think flexibly and adapt to the specific instructional needs of students
- Collect data to measure impact on instruction and student achievement
- Work in an inclusionary/co-teaching model
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Educator Certificate: Elementary PK-6 (305)
- Proven track record of successful classroom literacy and mathematics instruction
- Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practices and targeted interventions
- Strong understanding of the Science of Reading
- Extensive experience in using diagnostic data to drive student growth
- Strong, effective communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. Proactive team player.
- Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students.
