    POSITION:

    ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHER

    SCHOOL:

    Upper House New Fairfield Elementary School

    (Grades 3 - 5)

    GENERAL DUTIES:

    • Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction aligned with the Connecticut Core Standards and district curriculum
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of all students
    • Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that foster a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
    • Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, specialists, administrators, and families to support student success
    • Maintain accurate student records and communicate student progress effectively with families
    • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities of an elementary classroom teacher

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Valid Connecticut Elementary Education Certification (305) required
    • Knowledge of Connecticut Core Standards, evidence-based instructional practices, and elementary curriculum
    • Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
    • Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

    SALARY:
