Job Summary
Chapel School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher for our 4th-grade classroom. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic growth, social development, and emotional well-being. This full-time position requires a commitment to nurturing each students unique abilities while implementing a dynamic curriculum that aligns with state standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to co-plan and share best practices.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing positive reinforcement and restorative practices.
Support and promote school-wide initiatives and activities, fostering a sense of community within the school.
Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school events as required.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
Experience teaching 4th grade or similar age group preferred.
Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Proficient in using technology for teaching and classroom management.
Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
