West Woods Upper Elementary is seeking a Grade 6 classroom teacher starting August 2026.

The Farmington Public School District is seeking an outstanding educator for a Grade 6 Upper Elementary vacancy. Farmington is a suburban Hartford community with a strong record of educational excellence.

Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible for State of CT certification in Elementary 1-6 (305 or similar)

General Description:

Teachers attend to the development of the whole child and adjust instruction to meet psychological, social and intellectual needs. Teachers demonstrate all aspects of CTs Code of Professional Responsibility.

• Must hold or be eligible for CT State Teaching Certification in Elementary Education (305 or similar)
• Specialized training in content area or program being taught
• Consideration will be given to the following -
• Relevant and recent experience
• References that indicate excellent instructional skill, initiative, and a learner mindset
• Philosophy that aligns with the districts core beliefs
• Various life experiences that enhance contributions to the overall district and/or school community

Salary: $56,018 - $114,029 depending upon education and experience
