St. Mary's School in Simsbury, CT is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and faith-filled Grade 4 Teacher to join our vibrant Catholic school community. Position Overview

The Grade 4 Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum standards while supporting the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of students. The teacher will foster a classroom culture that promotes excellence, respect, responsibility, and faith.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach core academic subjects, including Religion, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions throughout classroom instruction and daily interactions.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, critical thinking, and a growth mindset.
  • Utilize best instructional practices and data-informed decision making to support student achievement.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative methods and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families regarding academic and behavioral growth.
  • Incorporate educational technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Prepare students for participation in school liturgies, prayer services, service projects, and other faith-based activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
  • Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of St. Mary's School and the Archdiocese of Hartford.
