Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Grade 5 (7 students)

Our Lady of Mercy Preparatory School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for Grade 5 from August 31 through November 13, 2026. This position offers the opportunity to join a supportive, faith-centered school community committed to academic excellence, character formation, and service.

Position Overview

• Full responsibility for a Grade 5 homeroom during the assignment period (7 students total)
• Implementation of established curriculum, lesson plans, and assessments
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports both academic and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families as needed

Qualifications

• Teaching experience at the elementary or middle school level preferred
• Bachelor's degree required; teaching certification preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of OLM Prep
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families
