Long-Term Substitute Teacher, Intervention

Position Overview:

Hampton Elementary School is a small school serving 74 students from grades PreK - 6. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to serve as a long-term substitute to support our grade 3/4 multi-age classroom and intervention groups through the MTSS process. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality education, personalized attention, and fostering holistic growth for all students.

Start Date: Immediately

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a dynamic, multi-age Grade 3/4 classroom in a small and nurturing setting.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support a diverse range of learners.
  • Provide targeted reading and math instruction to small groups of students at various grade levels
  • Implementing curriculum and lesson plans across multiple grade levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and objectives.
  • Differentiating instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs and abilities of students within the multi-age classroom.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration, respect, and mutual understanding among students./
  • Assessing student progress through various methods, including formative and summative assessments, and providing timely feedback to support growth.
  • Collaborating with other educators, specialists, and support staff to address the individualized needs of students and promote a comprehensive approach to education.
  • Establishing positive relationships with students, families, and the wider school community to foster a supportive learning environment and encourage active involvement in students education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification/license appropriate for the grade levels and subjects taught (005, 013, 305 or equivalent)
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
