Job Title: Upper Intermediate Teacher 5/6

Reports To: Principal

Education: CT Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education (Endorsement 013 or equivalent); Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or equivalent.

Description: Botelle Elementary School is a small school in Norfolk that serves approximately 60 students PK-6. Students benefit from small class sizes and warm, positive relationships with teachers and peers. Teachers loop with their students and have them for two years. Teachers personalize instruction based on students' interests and needs, challenging each one to learn and grow. Parents are supportive partners of the school community. Responsibilities:

• Implement differentiated instruction aligned to the CT Common Core for ELA and Mathematics, NGSS and CT Social Studies Frameworks.
• Facilitate inquiry and student-led discussion.
• Analyze evidence of student learning and use it to make instructional decisions.
• Plan effective, engaging instruction for all subjects, including Learning Targets, Success Criteria and rigorous instructional tasks.
• Develop a classroom environment that supports student-centered learning.
• Set and maintain standards of classroom behavior consistent with school-wide expectations.
• Support children in developing social, emotional and behavioral competencies through RULER.
• Communicate with parents and build rapport to support student success.
• Possess strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work as a member of a team.
• Love children and are committed to their success.

Salary & Benefits: Per the Norfolk Teachers' Contract $54,455-110,005
