Job Description:

FAMILY CONSUMER SCIENCE TEACHER

One-Year Position (2026-2027 School Year)

The successful candidate will:

• Promote 21st century educational excellence through the vigorous support of the mission and

goals of The Woodstock Academy; and

• Facilitate individual, departmental, and school excellence through the support of high-quality

personnel, reinforcement of best instructional practices, encouragement of a culture of

collaboration, and a focus on student learning.

Minimum qualifications:

• Possession of or eligibility for 045 or 098 certification required;
• Culinary background experience preferred;
• Demonstrated excellence in secondary school instruction;
• Knowledge of the best practices in Family Consumer Science, the ability to use instructional

technology, familiarity with a block schedule; and

• Positive attitude, integrity, collaboration skills, a cooperative attitude, and a sense of humor

essential.

This position is a one-year appointment for the 2026-2027 school year.
