    Job Description:

    As an Math Teacher at The Pinnacle School, you will provide engaging, data-driven instruction in a supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students with diverse learning needs reach their full potential through individualized instruction, collaboration, and evidence-based teaching practices.

    What You'll Need

    • Bachelor's degree in special education, education, mathematics, or a related field
    • Valid Connecticut state endorsement (165): Special Education: Comprehensive (Grades K-12), or (029): Mathematics (Grades 7-12), or eligibility for certification
    • Minimum of two (2) years experience teaching special education student populations with language-based learning differences
    • Familiar with the IEP process and collection of progress monitoring data
    • Create and maintain an orderly and aesthetic learning environment that accounts for students social, emotional, and executive functioning need
    • Commitment to help children of all abilities reach their full potential
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, enthusiastic style to fit with our small-team environment

    What You'll Do

    • Deliver high-quality, data-driven mathematics instruction aligned with the schools mission and philosophy
    • Differentiate instruction to accommodate students learning styles, abilities, and current achievement levels
    • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including Present Levels of Performance, measurable goals, and objectives
    • Participate as an active member of the Planning & Placement Team (PPT)
    • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, teaching methods, and learning principles to help students achieve academic and IEP goals
    • Collect, analyze, and maintain progress monitoring data to inform instructional decisions
