Math Interventionist (Grades 4-8)

Schedule: School Year

Location: Integrated Day Charter School

About the Role

We are seeking a Math Interventionist to provide targeted support to students in grades 4-8. This position focuses on strengthening foundational math skills through small-group and one-on-one instruction. Small groups will include no more than 8 students. You will work closely with another math interventionist and collaborate with classroom teachers to help students grow in confidence and achievement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide math intervention instruction to students in grades 4-8 in small-group and individual settings.
  • Use assessment data and teacher input to identify learning needs and plan targeted lessons.
  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that supports core math concepts and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the second math interventionist to plan, review progress, and adjust interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with classroom teachers to coordinate student support.
  • Create a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages student growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching certification (required)
  • Experience working with upper-elementary or middle-school students.
  • Knowledge of effective math instruction and intervention strategies.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
