Philadelphia E&T Charter High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, we serve over 600 students in a vibrant, diverse, and career-focused learning environment.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will be passionate about mathematics instruction, committed to student achievement, and able to create an engaging and rigorous classroom environment aligned to Pennsylvania standards.
Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging standards-aligned math instruction (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, or higher-level courses as assigned) • Prepare students for the Pennsylvania Keystone Exams • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners • Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress • Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues • Participate in professional development, department meetings, and school initiatives • Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive school culture
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Mathematics or related field • Masters preferred • Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification (Secondary Mathematics 7-12 preferred) • Strong classroom management skills • Experience working with high school students • Commitment to equity and student-centered learning
