Job Description:
Responsibilities will include:
- Teach middle school mathematics courses (grades 6-8) in alignment with district curriculum and Connecticut standards
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, critical thinking, and real-world application of mathematical concepts
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and assessment practices to support student learning and achievement
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of diverse learners
- Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and families
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Connecticut Certification: 029 Mathematics (Grades 7-12 / Grades 4-12) required or NY equivalent to work toward certification reciprocity.
- Strong knowledge of middle school mathematics curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and student-centered learning environment
SALARY: Per NFEA Contract
