Job Description:

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and/or Masters in the content area
• Must possess or be eligible for the following CTSDE Certification
• (049) Music Pk-12

Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Suffield Educators Association. (Salary range $51,730 - $114,405)

Period of Employment: School year position

Reports to: Building Administrator

Position Expectations:

• Experience teaching and playing woodwind and/or percussion instruments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective instruction.
• Must support department colleagues with administrative aspects of 190 member band program.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve learning for all students.
• Ability to use data to make instructional decisions.
• Ability to build organizational capacity around best practices, instruction and intervention, based on our continuous improvement work.
