The Stratford Public Schools has an opening for a dynamic and innovative Elementary Music Teacher at Lordship Elementary School. The selected candidate will instruct general music classes, chorus, band and orchestra.

- Innovative and Evolving Educator proficient in the integration of differentiated instruction and educational technology to optimize student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Accomplished Musician and Ensemble Director dedicated to developing cohesive ensemble culture, facilitating technical and artistic growth, and delivering high-caliber performances.
- Culturally Responsive Practitioner dedicated to cultivating inclusive, affirming, and equitable learning environments that reflect and respect the diverse identities and experiences of all students.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement standards-aligned curriculum in both ensemble and general music settings, utilizing formative and summative assessments to inform instruction.
- Facilitate authentic, student-centered music-making experiences that promote artistic expression, critical thinking, and collaborative musicianship.
- Engage students in exploring the sociocultural relevance of music through interdisciplinary connections and inquiry-based learning.
- Coordinate and participate in public performances, school-wide events, and community engagement initiatives that highlight student achievement and foster a culture of musical excellence.
