POSITION SUMMARY:
CREC seeks a talented PE/Health teacher for a teaching position at the Academy of Science and Innovation. PE/Health teachers work under the general supervision of their school principal performing the essential performance responsibilities listed below.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Promote a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small-group instruction, and student learning.
- Other duties as assigned.

Teaching/Subject Assignment Specific:
- Administer and record results for the Connecticut Physical Fitness Assessment.
- Attend training sessions for supervising high ropes courses (if applicable for program site)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Physical Education, PK-12 (044).
- Health, PK-12 (043)-cross endorsement for health is preferred but candidates without a health certification will be considered on a case by case basis.
