POSITION: Physical Education & Health Education Teacher
LOCATION: Newtown High School, Sandy Hook, CT 06482
STARTING DATE: August 24, 2026
REMUNERATION: Salary and benefits competitive and commensurate with experience, as per the Newtown Teachers Association contract.
Position Purpose:
Newtown High School is seeking an energetic, student-centered educator to join our Physical Education and Health Department. In this dual role, you will design and deliver dynamic curricula that inspire students to value lifelong wellness and physical fitness. We are looking for an educator who values interdisciplinary learning, collaborates naturally with colleagues, and uses progressive, student-focused assessment methods.
