Job Description:

Reading Interventionist at Killingworth Elementary School (grades K - 3)

Preferred Candidate profile:

• deep understanding of current reading/language arts instruction and pedagogy
• demonstrated ability to work effectively with teacher teams
• clear understanding of the MTSS process
• ability to effectively identify and monitor interventions for struggling readers
• flexible and creative thinker
• strong oral and written communication skills
• advanced training in specific reading interventions/models

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the schools student support team and will work to meet the needs of students requiring more intensive support by developing and implementing effective action and monitoring plans. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with, and support teachers with classroom instruction in reading/language arts.
