Philadelphia Academy Charter School seeks a full-time middle school science teacher.
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university • Active PA Certification in Science 7-12 • Science 7-9 Certification • Science 4-8 Certification • Science 4-6 or Elementary K-6 Certification • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required
Act 34, 151 & 114 Clearances dated within one year of date of hire.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver instruction for 5th and 6th grade science courses based on the PA STEELS.
Work cooperatively with the principal, department members, and other staff members to support student learning.
Integrate technology into instruction to improve the learning experience.
Maintain student records using Infinite Campus.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Assess the attitudes, skills, and abilities of children for effective teaching and learning.
