Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Substitute Teacher to join our team and support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students requiring special education services.

Duties:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs in various educational settings
• Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support students with academic tasks, social skills development, and behavior management
• Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement specialized instructional strategies
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with the special education team

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices
• Familiarity with strengths-based behavior management techniques
• Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
