Job Description

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the fab manager or shift leadership, the Cleanroom Manufacturing Technician performs hands-on semiconductor processing in a cleanroom environment. This role supports production flow, yield, and quality by executing wafer processes within lithography, cleaning, bonding, and vacuum-based operations.

This is a 3rd shift position (11:00 PM-7:30 AM, Monday-Friday). Training will be on the first shift, and occasional future retraining will be required on first shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday-Friday)

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor assigned tools to ensure stable production flow and WIP movement

  • Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom protocols, contamination control, and safety requirements

  • Handle 200mm wafers using approved methods (cassettes, tweezers, vacuum wands)

  • Record and track production data in MES systems, including SPC and equipment logs

  • Perform inspection and basic metrology to verify process output quality

  • Identify and escalate equipment issues, process deviations, or product risks

  • Support troubleshooting and corrective actions alongside engineering and senior technicians

  • Maintain accurate documentation for lot travelers, tool usage, and process runs

Shift Expectations

  • Focus on execution, flow, and schedule adherence rather than process development

  • Maintain strong issue detection and escalation discipline

  • Operate effectively with reduced engineering and support resources during off-hours

  • Ensure clean and accurate handoff to next shift

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of semiconductor or cleanroom manufacturing experience preferred

  • Experience with 200mm wafer processing

  • Familiarity with MES/workflow tracking systems

  • Basic computer skills (Email, data entry, tracking)

Preferred Skills

  • Strong contamination awareness and attention to detail

  • Ability to follow strict process instructions (WI/SOP-driven work)

  • Effective communication across shifts

  • Problem-solving mindset with willingness to escalate early

  • Team-oriented and dependable

Physical Requirements

  • Standing/walking up to 8-10 hours per shift

  • Manual handling of wafer carriers and materials up to ~25 lbs

  • Fine motor skills for precision wafer handling

  • Ability to work in full cleanroom PPE

  • Visual acuity for inspection

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary & Benefits Package

  • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance from Day 1

  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time, and Holidays

  • 401(k) with Company Match

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan

  • Fun Employee Events throughout the year

Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.

Salary Range:
