Job Description

The Clean Room Operator plays a key role in supporting high-volume production within a controlled cleanroom environment. You operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures, ensure product quality through careful inspection, and maintain accurate production records. This role requires strict adherence to safety and cleanroom protocols, regular use of personal protective equipment, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts while performing physically active tasks such as lifting and standing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all safety rules and consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including full cleanroom attire.
• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Accurately record production data, equipment readings, and quality checks in designated systems and logs.
• Identify, report, and assist in troubleshooting basic equipment or process issues to support continuous production.
• Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and semi-finished products safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine cleaning of machines, tools, and work areas to maintain a safe, organized, and compliant cleanroom environment.
• Carry out minor maintenance tasks on equipment as directed to support reliable operation.
• Read, understand, and follow written SOPs and work instructions with close attention to detail.
• Work around chemicals in a cleanroom setting while following all handling and safety procedures.
• Support general production, machine operation, and assembly tasks as needed to meet production targets.
• Maintain consistent productivity and quality levels during 12-hour shifts, including extended periods of standing and manual work.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, or manufacturing operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift.
• Comfort standing for 12-hour shifts in a physically active role.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and written instructions accurately.
• Willingness and ability to wear a bunny suit and full cleanroom PPE for extended periods.
• Comfort working around chemicals in a controlled cleanroom environment while adhering to safety procedures.
• Basic machine operation skills in a production or assembly setting.
• Attention to detail for inspecting materials and products against quality standards.
• Ability to accurately record data and follow documentation requirements.
• Reliability in following safety protocols and maintaining a clean, orderly workspace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment is preferred.
• Experience with general production, assembly, and machine operation is beneficial.
• Experience operating industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in a controlled cleanroom production facility that requires full cleanroom PPE, including a bunny suit, to be worn throughout the shift. You work either 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Wednesday and Friday through Sunday, with a rotating schedule where you alternate between working 36 hours and 48 hours. Night shifts receive a 16% premium. The environment involves standing for most of the 12-hour shift, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around chemicals and industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs, with a structured, fast-paced production setting and a clear dress code centered on full cleanroom attire.

This is an immediate hiring requirement for our Queen Creek, AZ location. Qualified candidates should be available to interview tomorrow and be prepared for a fast-moving hiring process. Candidates must be able to work the required 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom manufacturing environment and meet all physical and safety requirements outlined in the job description.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queen Creek, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.46/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
