NOW HIRING — Cleaner in Chatham, MA (Every Other Wednesday Morning)

Location: Main St area, downtown Chatham, MA 02633 — Lower Cape (exact address shared once you're confirmed)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're North Co Commercial Cleaning, in our 9th year, hiring one cleaner for a retail clothing store (national brand) in downtown Chatham. Store name and exact address are shared after onboarding.

This is recurring work — same store, every other Wednesday morning before the store opens. It's one visit every two weeks at a flat rate per visit — good side income, not full-time or part-time hours. Cleaners already working with us get first shot at new locations as we add them.

You work on your own from our checklist. There's no on-site trainer, so you need to already know how to clean a store and do glass.

SCHEDULE & PAY

STORE CLEANING — every 2 weeks

- $85 flat per visit

- Wednesdays — arrive 7:45 AM, start 8:00 AM (before the store opens)

- First visit: Wednesday, September 23, 2026

- The day is set — the store sends someone to let you in, so dates don't move

- Average time on site: 1.5–2 hours (could be a little less or a little more depending on experience and getting a system down after the first couple visits)

- Works out to roughly $43–$57/hr

WINDOW CLEANING — once a month, done during one of your regular Wednesday visits

- +$60 flat on that visit ($145 total for the day)

- Average added time: 1–1.5 hours

- Works out to roughly $40–$60/hr

Pay is a flat amount per visit — it is NOT hourly. The hourly numbers are just what the flat rate averages out to. These rates already include pay for bringing your own supplies (see Supplies below).

Pay lands 24–48 hours after the job is completed, checked out, and confirmed to manager satisfaction. Check-in, photos, and check-out are done through links we provide.

Parking: reimbursed only with a receipt showing date, time in, time out, place, and total price.

THE WORK

Store cleaning (every visit): sweep, dust mop, vacuum, and mop hardwood floors including corners and edges. Dust and wipe down shelves, tables, displays, counters, and cases. High dusting — upper shelving, ledges, vents. Clean mirrors. Spot clean the entry door glass. Trash out, new liners. Back room floors and counters.

Windows (once a month): first-level storefront and entry door glass, inside and out — scrub the full glass with an applicator, squeegee it off, detail the edges and corners, wipe frames, sills, and ledges dry.

REQUIREMENTS

- 21 or older

- Prior cleaning experience of any kind

- Real experience with a window scrubber and squeegee — spray-and-towel doesn't count

- Your own cleaning and window supplies and equipment (required — see below)

- Your own reliable vehicle — you're hauling your equipment each visit (rideshare/transit does not qualify)

- Comfortable completing a standard onboarding screening

SUPPLIES — YOU BRING YOUR OWN (REQUIRED)

Nothing can be stored at the store, so you bring your supplies and equipment each visit. That's already built into the pay above. When you apply, tell us what you have from these lists.

Store cleaning: vacuum, mop and bucket (or flat mop with extra pads), broom and dustpan and/or dust mop, all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, microfiber cloths, dusting tool with extender, restroom cleaner, scrubber or deck brush.

Windows: window scrubber/applicator, squeegee, extension pole that fits both, glass cleaning solution, microfiber or scrim cloths, scraper or razor, bucket.

Optional: step stool or short ladder.

DRESS CODE

Slip-resistant shoes recommended. Clean plain blue or black shirt, jeans or non-athletic shorts — nothing ripped, no sweatpants. Hair tied back, arrive presentable.

PHOTOS & CHECK-OUT

Before/after photos every visit through your check-in link — this is how you get paid. More is always better. Before you leave, do a full walkthrough with the store manager — don't leave until they've walked it with you.

COMMUNICATION — #1 PRIORITY

Respond to messages, show up, and speak up early if something changes. If you can't make a visit, we need to know ahead of time — no-shows are the one thing that ends the relationship.
