ABOUT THE ROLE
North Co Commercial Cleaning is hiring 2 reliable cleaners for recurring work at a retail store at Danbury Fair Mall, 7 Backus Ave, Danbury, CT 06810. The store name will be released after onboarding. This is occasional recurring work — not full or part-time. It's a foot in the door with a national cleaning company and solid per-visit pay you can add around your current schedule.
THIS IS A 2-PERSON JOB — READ THIS PART
We're hiring two cleaners for this location, each with their own confirmed spot. The two of you split the work on site — one on glass, one on floors/dusting/trash — and leave together as a team. We prefer the two hires not be related or in a relationship, purely so there's always coverage if one of you can't make it. You're welcome to bring your own helper instead, but a helper splits your one spot's pay with you — we still hire a separate second person either way. Soonest confirmed spots win.
LOCATION, SCHEDULE & PAY
Danbury Fair Mall — 7 Backus Ave, Danbury, CT 06810
- Commercial Cleaning + Window Washing — both done in the same visit · 8:00 AM start · recurring
- Service date is being set for THIS WEEK or NEXT WEEK — when you apply, tell us every weekday you CAN make an 8:00 AM start over the next two weeks. The date gets built around the team's availability, and once it's set it's firm — the store sends a manager to let us in, so it doesn't move.
PAY
$67.50 per person, per visit. With two working together, the visit averages 1.5–2 hours on site — that works out to roughly $35–$45 per hour each. Move with purpose and your effective hourly goes up.
Check-in, before/after photos, and check-out all run through our app — that's how the job is tracked and how you get paid fast. Payment averages 24–48 hours after the visit is completed and confirmed.
Parking is reimbursed only with a receipt showing date, time in, time out, place, and total price.
THE WORK
General retail cleaning: sweep, mop, and vacuum floors including corners and edges, dust shelving, fixtures, ledges, and vents, wipe counters and display cases, trash and liners, restroom if present — plus entry and display glass cleaned inside and out with a scrubber and squeegee, edges detailed, ledges wiped dry. Full detailed checklist provided after onboarding.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 21 or older
- Prior cleaning experience — commercial or residential is fine, as long as you know how to clean
- Window washing experience with a scrubber and squeegee — required
- Reliable personal transportation
- Able to track your service dates by text and keep them
- Strong communication — checking in, responding, keeping us updated
- Comfortable completing a standard onboarding screening
SUPPLIES
Bring your own supplies for a per-visit bonus — $10 commercial / $5 window / $15 if you cover both — or North Co provides everything. Tell us what you have: all, some, or none. Either way is fine.
Commercial Cleaning: Mop and bucket and/or flat mop with extra pads, broom & dustpan, dust mop (optional), all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, microfiber cloths, dusting tool, restroom cleaner.
Window Washing: Window scrubber/applicator, squeegee, glass cleaning solution, microfiber or scrim cloths, scraper or razor, bucket.
Step stool or short ladder handy but not required — an extension pole works fine.
DRESS CODE
Slip-resistant shoes required (we'll help you get a pair if needed). Clean plain blue or black shirt — branded North Co shirt at 3 months. Jeans or non-athletic shorts, nothing ripped, no sweatpants. Hair tied back, arrive clean and presentable.
PHOTOS & CHECK-OUT
Before/after photos of your areas, check in and check out on the app every visit, and confirm the manager is happy before leaving. This is how the job gets tracked and how you get paid fast.
