FITNESS CENTER ATTENDANT
Job description
The Fitness Center Attendant provides customer service through interaction with members while ensuring the fitness facility remains clean, organized and sanitary.
Essential Duties:
- Knowledge of exercise equipment and required sanitation procedures.
- Perform closing procedures of the fitness facility.
- Ensure the fitness facility remains clean and organized; organize dumbbells, weight plates, and bars.
- Ensure pool areas are tidy following cleaning schedule.
- Ensure locker rooms are kept clean and sanitary.
- Disinfect and clean equipment routinely throughout the shift.
- Inspect facility for required maintenance and create service requests as needed.
- Maintain a clean workspace.
- Do laundry as needed.
- Help out in other areas of the facility when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent
- Knowledge of exercise equipment and general fitness facility protocols (preferred).
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to current members in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. for short distances.
- Maintain professional appearance and wear designated uniforms/conform to dress code.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $17.25 per hour

Main Responsibilities of a Cleaner/Janitor:
- Keep buildings in a clean condition
- Perform all heavy-duty cleaning
Cleaner/Janitor Description:
We are looking for an experienced Cleaner/Janitor to fill a vital spot in our staff. We are hoping to find a reliable and skilled person who understands the importance that the role cleaner/janitor plays in an organization/building.

Responsibilities of a Cleaner/Janitor:
- Cleaning building floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
- Gathering and emptying indoor trash
- Clean, service and resupply restrooms
- Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
- Engaging in building security and safety activities (checking and locking doors)
- Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture
- Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities
- Maintaining tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
- Requiring supplies of the tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
Cleaner/Janitor Job Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have proven working experience as Cleaner/Janitor
- Must know and follow sanitation procedures
- Must be able to respond and act quickly
- Must have strong communication and multitasking skills
- Must have knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies
