BBSI is proudly supporting our client in finding a physically capable, dependable Evening Floor Care Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and can comfortably perform physically demanding tasks throughout their shift.
Position Overview
This labor-intensive position focuses primarily on detailed floor cleaning in commercial facilities. The work requires frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and working on hands and knees. Candidates must be comfortable performing continuous physical activity during evening hours while maintaining high cleaning standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and detail-clean floors in assigned areas
- Perform floor cleaning while bending, kneeling, squatting, and working on hands and knees for extended periods
- Operate floor cleaning equipment such as auto scrubbers and floor buffers (training provided)
- Lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
- Remove trash and maintain clean walkways
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and break areas as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE
- Complete all assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes
- Secure facilities after shift when required
Physical Requirements (Essential Functions)
- Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, twist, and work on hands and knees
- Ability to stand and move continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive physical motions in a fast-paced environment
This position is not suitable for individuals unable to meet these physical demands.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or floor care experience preferred (training available)
- Ability to work independently and stay on task without supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of performing required duties
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
Schedule
- Evening shifts: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday
- Approximately 15+ hours per week
- Consistent weekly schedule
