Position Summary
A cleaner performs a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium-to-high physical effort in cleaning and caring for an assigned area of the building. This position will involve general cleaning, trash removal and floor maintenance including carpet and hard surface care.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.

Work Modality
Cleaners work on a part-time basis (4 hours) in the evening Monday through Friday at our building located in Corporate Woods in Albany, NY
Job Duties
The Cleaner will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Remove debris on floors, furniture and equipment and place them in designated receptacles or in appropriate places.
Move furniture and equipment in connection with cleaning and care functions
Bag and remove trash and place in dumpsters
Use mops, brushes, detergents, buffers, floor scrubbers and other cleaning implements to wash floors, corridors, stairs and stairwells, walls, partitions, windows from the inside of the building
Strip, vacuum and wax floors, as well as shampoos carpets utilizing any necessary equipment
Scrub and clean all areas of lavatories, such as sinks, urinals, toilets, etc.
Dust assigned areas using any required equipment
Polish wood and metal fixtures and equipment
Additional cleaning associated with special events or renovations
