Brief Description of Duties Cleaners work independently or as part of a work teamthat performs a wide range of specialized and routine cleaning activities such as stripping and polishing floors window washing vacuuming trash and recycling removaldusting and cleaning walls office space kitchens and common areas hospital and clean rooms laboratories residential facilities and restrooms. The nature of the cleaning assignments ranges from light medium to heavy physical effort. The class isnon-supervisory. Special Notes These are part-time positions 20 hours per week Monday through Friday 700 a.m. to 1100 a.m. FLSA Non Exempt position eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Mandatory rehire roster candidates have preference. SG 5 Hiring Rate 17226 per year at .50 fte. Positions that are designated as such are required to report to workremain at work even if classes are canceled and the campus is working on limited operations in an emergency.
