Cleaner

As a Cleaner at Velociti Services you will be part of our frontline associates that provide commercial cleaning services onsite at client locations focusing on standard custodial and janitorial tasks.

This Position is for a University located in Downtown Pittsburgh

The shifts will be as follows : Thursday-Saturday 2pm until 10:15 pm & Sunday & Monday 10pm until 6:15am

Success Criteria:

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers professionally
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and the environment
• Instilling trust

Key Accountabilities:

• Vacuuming
• Edging
• Dusting
• Cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms
• Window cleaning
• Emptying trash and transporting to proper disposal area
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• May perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma.
• Previous commercial, janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
