Cleaning and Restoration Technician Job Summary
Assist in the timely and effective delivery of cleaning and restoration services.
Cleaning and Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience
- Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
- Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
- Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
- 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
- Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
- Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
- Opportunities to advance into:
- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
- Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
- Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)
Cleaning and Restoration TechnicianResponsibilities
- Perform professional carpet, floor cleaning, and restoration services in alignment with company standards and available certifications.
- Document work accurately, including authorizations, daily logs, and work orders.
- Communicate clearly with customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities to add value or upsell services.
- Maintain equipment, vehicles, and inventory, keeping tools and materials clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Demonstrate accountability and growth, learning new technology, pursuing certifications, and upholding Voda’s quality and safety standards.
